Servings: 5
- 2 pounds 1 kilo of ground/minced beef not low fat
- 2 eggs whisked
- 3 tbsp almond flour
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp ground thyme
BBQ Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
- 3 tbsp coconut sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 garlic gloves minced
- pinch sea salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 375F or 190C with fan assist.
Mix all ingredients for the meatballs. Do not overmix as it will make the meatballs tough.
Roll into balls, around 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I was able to make 15 meatballs.
Place into baking dish.
Make your BBQ sauce once the meatballs are in the oven.
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
Turn heat down to low and simmer for 7-9 minutes. Take off the heat once done.
Bake meatballs for 20-25 mins depending on the oven. Pour BBQ sauce (reserving 1/4 cup for later) over meatballs and cook for an additional 10 mins.
Once finished you can serve or top with additional sauce.
